Profile:
Aanjhan is a ardent follower with strong belief on the FLOSS/GNU Philosophy. He holds a bachelors degree in Electronic and Communication engineering and has been with Robert Bosch India's Car Multimedia Division in Bangalore over 2 years involved in research and development of embedded modules for top Automotive manufacturers including Volkswagen, Audi and Daimler Chrysler. An active member of
the Chennai Linux Users group, a member of the Ubuntu Science Team; his major research interests include Embedded Linux Systems and Free and Open Source VLSI CAD Tools. "Young Scientist Award", "Distinguished Alumni Award" are some of the honours apart from a couple of International research publications to his credit. He has conducted several FLOSS workshops for college students all across India and guided a few on Free and Open Source Projects. He has held several leadership posts including the head of the technical division of a Youth organisation during his career.

Embedded GNU/Linux Labs Howto:


This presentation would involve detailed instructions/suggestions to set up a Embedded Linux Lab along with available boards for institutions and the various projects that can be undertaken. Also include a brief presentation on the "Open Mobile Communications" platform and how students/universities can get involved and the various research oppurtunities that are available.

 

FLOSS VLSI CAD Tools:


This presentation would involve demonstration of Icarus Verilog compiler and its features which can be used for Verilog tutorials as well as designing chips. Short demos and enhancement oppurtunities of other EDA tools for designing PCBs, circuits will also be presented. A brief list of ToDos / project ideas will be presented and its importance in "learning and further research oppurtunities" in this field will be discussed.
